A diverse and comprehensive Internship in Costa Rica

Finca Ipe has been offering a volunteer program for many years and now. And in 2006, we felt it was time to expand the educational component of our proposition.

Our farm has sustainability and community as part of our core values. The internship is four weeks long and includes Spanish lessons throughtout. Together this forms part of the internship, and once participants have completed the program, they will receive a Permaculture Design Certificate, as well as a Diploma of Completion. There’s even an optional extra week of travel, available through Costa Rican Adventures (more of that later).

Optional Travel Week

After your valuable weeks of learning, as well as practical application, you may feel a week of relaxation and travel is just what you need. Our friends at Costa Rican Adventures are happy to arrange a fantastic week of travel around Costa Rica so you can check out other farms and see what other delights this beautiful country has to offer. Watch this space for more information coming soon regarding the travel week.

Affordable learning

For the comprehensive four-week internship, the cost is $1900. Full room and board are included in the price. Students will benefit from both theory and practical applications of the subjects being covered and course hand-outs are included. What’s more, interns receive the benefit of Spanish lessons throughout the internship. And upon completion of the program, a Permaculture Certificate and Completion Diploma are also awarded. Flights to Costa Rica and transfers to/from each farm are not included. The Optional Travel Week is an additional charge.

How to apply

Places are limited as each Group is restricted – this means learning opportunities are maximised and accommodation needs are met. Please be aware that we ask for a 50% deposit to guarantee your place on the program. The balance is payable three weeks prior to the program start datel.
